Skid Loaders
Compact skid loader: optimal maneuverability
There are two main types of skid steer loaders: tracked models and wheeled models. The compact skid loader helps you carry out many tasks in the fields of agriculture, construction or landscaping.
At GEHL, we offer you the latest generation machines, reliable, efficient and secure.
GEHL compact skid loader: a machine with multiple advantages
Transport bags of cement, complete landscaping, stack bales of hay... With a compact skid loader, the possibilities are endless! Equipped with four wheels, this machine can move on flat and hard floors. Faster than the compact track loader, it can travel on the road and cover longer distances. For example, the GEHL V275 can reach a speed of 17.5 km/hr (11mph) with the two-speed option, which is ideal for traveling on large construction sites or large farms. With its small size and small turning radius, the compact skid loader is very maneuverable. You can use it in tight spaces, both outdoors and indoors.
What makes a compact skid loader interesting is also its power. A machine can lift and transport loads of several hundred kilos while remaining perfectly stable. We offer many interchangeable accessories for your compact skid loader. It only takes a few minutes to change accessories. For example, you can equip your machine with forks to move haystacks, or grapples to transport tree trunks. For more specific tasks, you will also find hydraulic hammers, pile drivers, crushers or push blades. GEHL compact skid loaders always have the latest improvements to meet your needs. They have been designed with driver safety in mind, including high-performance rollover protection systems (ROPS) and falling object protection systems (FOPS). In addition, access to the chain transmission is made easier to reduce maintenance.

Compact skid loader with radial or vertical lifting
When purchasing your compact skid loader, you will have the choice between the radial lifting system and the vertical lifting system. If you're looking for extended offset in the middle of the lift path, consider a radial lift skid steer instead. By design, these models are also easier to maintain on site. For their part, vertical lift models offer extended offset at full lift height. They are therefore more practical for storage at height (up to 4 m). However, by reducing the offset you can increase the lifting capacity.Â
Our compact skid loaders are available with different options. For greater comfort, you can, for example, choose the color screen, which displays information in real time. A true assistant, the screen helps you avoid dangerous maneuvers, or warns you in the event of a malfunction. Thanks to this intuitive interface, our machines are suitable for different user profiles.
